Today we started checking sand depths in our bunkers to insure they have consistent depths all the way around them. One guy checks the depth of the sand and then tells the sandpro operator where he needs to push the sand too. The bunkers where then raked out and ready for play.

This is a photo of our walk behind aerator solid tinning the green surrounds. These areas take a beating throughout the year with all the foot traffic and equipment abuse. Aerifying them opens them up and breaks up the compaction which lets them breathe and take in water to survive the warmer days.

  1. Todd, the fairways are really looking great! Even though there are a couple of areas that are still recovering, overall very impressive. I had two guests from a private club in Columbia Missouri on Monday and they raved about how great the course was compared to theirs. Keep up the great work! Sandy Dolence

  2. Sandy-

Thanks for the kind words. The fairways have started to heal in some areas. Unfortunately they only have about four more weeks of good growing weather before they start to slow down for the winter. We will see what they look like this winter. Some of the areas I am planning on installing some drain lines to help get the water off the area. Lets hope for a good winter so I don't have any more zoysia die of winter kill this year. Again thanks for your kind words about the golf course.
